PT Marenc International Technologies is seeking a technically strong and commercially driven Chemical Engineer to support the growth of our specialty chemicals and industrial technology business.
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of chemical engineering, customer applications and business development, helping translate customer operating challenges into technically suitable Marenc solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage prospective customers across oil & gas, water treatment and industrial markets.
- Conduct technical discussions to understand customer operating challenges and chemical requirements.
- Present Marenc products, technologies and technical capabilities to customers.
- Work closely with the formulation and R&D team to translate customer requirements into product-development priorities.
- Coordinate product samples, technical evaluations, laboratory testing and customer trials.
- Prepare technical-commercial proposals, quotations and product presentations.
- Support product qualification and field-trial activities.
- Maintain structured records of opportunities, customer requirements and follow-up actions.
- Monitor market requirements, competitors and emerging opportunities for specialty chemicals.
- Support relationships with technology partners, manufacturers and chemical suppliers.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Experience in technical sales, application engineering or specialty chemicals is highly desirable.
- Exposure to oilfield chemicals, water-treatment chemicals, industrial chemicals, surfactants, emulsions or process chemicals is an advantage.
- Able to understand technical specifications, product-performance data, TDS and SDS documentation.
- Strong communication, presentation and customer-facing skills.
- Professional working ability in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Commercially aware, technically curious and comfortable working in a developing technology-driven company.
